Place was almost empty, but there was still a long wait. Had to answer the same questions half a dozen times. Is that not what the first round of questions was for? I'd understand perhaps twice to establish consistency of a story (as if interrogating a criminal), but more than that just seems like nobody is keeping records. The real kicker is being suggested coming here for a CT. That CT, cost almost 7 grand. I am extremely angry and disappointed in the approach St. Mary's has taken to resolving the ongoing contract dispute with Anthem BCBS Ohio regarding imaging services provided at the Ironton campus. I have received plenty of services from St. Mary's in Ironton and Huntington, Marshall Health, Cabell Huntington Hospital, and HIMG. Even though I no longer have BCBS insurance (my employer now has Aetna), I have started the processing of moving all of my healthcare away from Marshall Health Network affiliated entities. I am currently involved in a billing dispute with this hospital. They have been sending me bills in violation of their contract with my insurance network. Highly recommend avoiding SMMC and all MHN affiliated institutions unless absolutely necessary.
I wish I could do negative stars go to a different hospital! You would think with all the negative reviews someone would have looked into this place and their staff by now!
