My mother came in audibly wheezing and a nurse practitioner claimed she couldn't hear it and sent us home. We had less than 3 minutes with a qualified professional. My mom told her she was short of breath and using her inhaler multiple times a day. The nurse practitioner said something like "maybe you're having an allergic reaction to the stuff in the inhaler other than the medicine like my husband" when my mom had been using the inhaler for years with no problems and then sent us home. My sick visit was quick and I was on my way with prescriptions called in for me. Dr VanHoose is very kind, knowledgeable, and caring. He explained what was going on and that I didn't need an antibiotic, thankfully. All the staff and nurses were friendly and efficient. I will absolutely return here if I need an urgent care and would recommend this location to others.

9-19-25 ( Friday) around 2:30 pm . My doctors office told me to go over to an urgent care to get swabbed for yeast & get urine checked for yeast. because I was having issues. After they got my urine, they told me they don’t check for yeast there. The Nurse Practitioner at St. Mary’s Urgent Care asked me a few questions and then refused to do a swab for yeast. I had a tooth infection that made me very sick. I ended up in the hospital and was given IV antibiotics. I thought I was septic. They sent me home and told me if I didn’t feel better in 2 days, go back and be admitted. On the 2nd day, I checked my temperature with a brand new thermometer out of the package and it was registering 93-94.9 degrees. I freaked and so did everyone else.
