Horrific experience at this emergency room. I was stuck out in the hallway on a bed for hours and hours and HOURS waiting to talk to psychiatrist via iPad. No room or any privacy. But the worst part is when it was finally time for me to talk to the psychiatrist and they handed me the iPad in the hallway and when I asked if I was going to be taken into a room for privacy, they said “no” and walked away. Absolutely unprofessional and rude. No urgency for anyone's care and the staff was dismissive. I was there for 3 hours and only saw the triage nurse for 5 mins. While my long extensive wait a woman came in with severe chest pains. Instead of taking the more urgent case they told her to sit and called someone else. That person was breathing and wlaking fine. Well staffed and very efficient!
My husband fell and had a large cut above his eye so we went to the Emergency Room. Tara Shugars took care of him and put in 8 stiches above his eye and she was absolutely wonderful and caring about not making a noticeable scar. She is what all the CRNP should strive to be like.
