Took two kids in for an allergy panel and blood work, pre approved by insurance, they billed insurance over $8400 per kid, almost $17000 total! Of course the insurance denied such an outlandish charge, now we are stuck paying this ridiculous bill! I’d give them negative stars if possible. Never again!
I know if you are ending up here, you probably don't have much of a choice... but be warned. They will convince you to come in or tell you that you must come in for your child... tell you it is one price, have you pay it, and then hit you more bills later and tell you initially it was just an "estimate." I don't know how you can't know the cost of something beforehand. Nothing extra happened in the visit. Little scary being locked in the irst floor at the end of day, must be a dangerous neighborhood.
The staff in the outpatient surgery unit were amazing. The patient service representative Clay was welcoming and informative. Nurse Ms. Lindsay was amazing, she took great care of my daughter during pre op and answered all questions with a smile. Dr. Dillon is a great pediatric surgeon who fixed the hernia quickly and kept us informed. All of the surgical staff were friendly and knowledgeable. My son used the physical therapy services. The day prior to the visit we were told we needed to call a number to find out the cost but on average it was $150. I called the number and left a message but the call was never returned. I kept leaving messages but did not hear back. I knew my insurance covered part of it and so I thought the remaining balance wouldn’t be much. I was shocked to find out that they charge $160 for every 15 minutes NOT per visit.
