RecommendedMy father , who is 90 was there for almost two weeks . They were wonderful. They make you feel like your loved one is the only person they are taking care of. The kitchen help needs some help fixing the menu according to the patients request but the health staff are great. Watch your personal items. Some grow legs and walk away. I would not hesitate to put any one there for recovery
Slow, money driven, not about the person centered approach.
They all got their medical licenses off of a cereal box and won’t treat or test any of their patients
I was there for rehab and it was awful!! 45 mins for call bell, food no choice, some aides where wonderful but I watched and heard a few bully the patients that could not speak up. I really got anything there I could not do at home. Sorry to say all that but Elmira needs a full time floor just for rehab to made me said and I left early.
I’ve been going for 5 years and I’ve stayed clean and sober thanks to Dr.Alves and Nurse Nicole! I felt so comfortable with both of them there was literally nothing in the world I could not go to them for. I’m worried about having to see a new doctor now. I am more concerned that Stephanie was hired on at the addiction center (suboxone clinic) because of her history with working and leaving healthcare jobs and repeating patient information! This place is the most wonderful around. Staff is caring and very helpful. They get a bad name for their location, but out of all the hospitals around they were the only ones who would help me when I was in excruciating pain. Thank you!
I am a patient here and I have to say all of the physical therapist and OT are amazing at helping u reach your goals. The Dr and nurses are all very caring and kind. One special nurse who makes u wanna smile and wake up Carla she does this from her heart and because of life experiences. She lifts u up when she sees u are down. I am so grateful that I was Blessed to meet and talk with her. Inpatient physical rehabilitation may be a little short staffed but it's nice to see they truly care. The food is not that bad.
