Comically awful receptionist experience. The person I spoke to was extremely rude, impatient, and very argumentative. They absolutely should not be a receptionist at a psychiatry clinic of all places, where the people phoning in are already struggling. The level of passive aggressiveness was disappointing and doesn’t reflect the level of care I’ve had from the actual psychiatrist I see. Trust the reviews and don't go here whatever the cost. Go anywhere else. The reception staff are careless, disrespectful and have no problem with you experiencing suicidal levels of withdrawals. I was told you can't make a booking this early and to call back for my 6 monthly prescription and after I did call back later, they said "it's too late, you should have called back sooner, too bad". If your GP refers you here, IMMEDIATELY request a different referral, or see a new GP. Emails take weeks to receive a response to (when they do choose to respond), and the staff are either so overworked or simply careless that there is no urgency in anything they do. I advised them that I need confirmation urgently for a script, and their response was “call back in 7 days if you haven’t heard anything”. If you are seeking actual progress for the Mental Health of yourself or a loved one - AVOID this place at all costs.
Dr Keith Chee is by far the most outstanding and impressive psychiatrist I have ever seen. He is quick to diagnose and understand the subtlety between different conditions. He has ALWAYS been spot on with finding the right medication for me on the first go. He has an amazing bedside manner and sense of humour which helps. He is expensive but it’s worth it for your mental health, his help is life changing. I couldn’t recommend him more highly.
