I stayed there from September 4 to 7th. On my second day there, I saw a mouse in my room. I have never seen any mice at any hotel that I’ve stayed in across the country. I called the front desk and they immediately moved to the front building. There was some strange mildew smell in the hall. I ordered breakfast on my first morning there. It was almost $30 and horrible. My sandwich looked thrown together and it was burnt. I never got anymore food from the hotel after that. The staff was nice.
Don't believe the reviews from "Leslie Dufresne" and "Benjamin Musgrave III" about 100s of rats on the property. A quick reverse image search shows the photos they used were pulled from Google which should be some indication of their reliability. Seems like they have some vendetta against the hotel as they keep "editing" their reviews everyday to stay at the top. I just stayed at Voco St. James for 4 days. Do not stay here!! The rooms are old, outdated and musty. They claim to provide water in the room which is rarely ever restocked. There are literally hundreds of mice in the building and the rooms. And they often have no-shows with their cooks and servers so if you buy the package that includes breakfast you have about a 50% chance that someone didn't show up and they're just not serving breakfast that day and you'll have to spend $20 to get breakfast at one of the surrounding restaurants.
