I have zero complaints about the staff at the St Elizabeth Cancer Center. In fact they have been absolutely wonderful. But I’m unable to give a five star rating because the seating for family and friends who accompany patients week after week and spend hours supporting their loved ones while they are being treated, can be likened to something you might find in a mid evil torture chamber. St E needs to do better for the patient and their family/friend/caregiver….
St. Elizabeth is a hospital you go to to die. Our oncology team made some huge mistakes, were horrible with communication, lied on visit notes, and stirred up family drama for us. I was told a patient advocate would contact me and they did not. We've since switched hospitals - if you can go over the river to Ohio, do it.
I was writing a letter to a manager about an employee that was just wonderful to interact with and made my process a great deal less stressful. Regarding the center, it is so clean and brand new and upscale. I was surprised as it's quite a changes from a few years ago. When I left my appointment, I was walking down the steps and piano music was playing some music that I found to be an odd choice in a cancer center lol but then discovered it was being played live and I kind of loved that... so far, I am fortunate and will go ... read more
I was ignored during the first month of cancer. No prescriptions for my cancer, no calls, nothing. Once the new CC Center building opened, I went for an appointment. The transport guy (for wheelchairs) was super creepy, trying to read my papers and advising me about what he thought was my condition. I think he was trying to act like a doctor. The place was very disorganized.
