I felt as if St. Croix dropped the ball on my brother. He woke up one morning unable to walk or get up. I called St. Croix and they came out and sent him to a hosptial 30 miles away because they had a contract there. The next day he had to revoke because they said he did not meet GIP status. They could have sent him to a local hospital if they knew he was going to be revoked where he was close to his family. They knew he was dying and he was moved off the pallative floor with no hospice services . He passed away 6 days later... read more

I felt the nurses didn’t listen well to my mom and I. We could never set up a real time schedule even after I asked them to. It was always “Hi I’m 15 minutes away or I’m on the way. They were nice enough and asked questions, but their mind seemed already made up. Also I felt my mom wasn’t treated as an individual. It was a total cookie cutter response to every question or concern. The were more concerned about the hospice package than my mom’s wants and needs other than medical supplies and medication.

Leann from St. Croix is an absolute joy to work with. She came in to the previous community I worked for and assisted with Bingo days and trainings. She has now continued to do the same for me at my current place of employment, Our House Assisted Living in Wausau. Our staff has increased their education of hospice and Dementia because of Leann. Thank you St. Croix Hospice for being an amazing partner in healthcare!

St. Croix Hospice Fond du Lac over promised and definitely under delivered and I hope that no other family has to endure what my dad and family had to endure. They made a bunch of promises and had my dad transferred to his assisted living home for his hospice care before they had everything in place for him. My dad passed away before they even ensured that his comfort meds were onsite! Experience has been a nightmare......inconsistent and inadequate care provider, cannot stay on any reasonable schedule with home care (despite my pleading to do so), cheap and inadequate hospice supplies. Lack of communication and failure to deal with correcting issues.........lots of phone surveys, but no action to correct issues. Constantly being told "fairy tales" or deflecting inquiries.

The worst choice ever. I believe that my father chose St.croix hospice care because it was recommended from his oncologist at the V.A. From what they told us at three initial consultation, it seemed like a wonderful choice.. And maybe it would be for some cancer patients situations, but definitely not for my father. He would have never of selected hospice care had he known the difficulties it would put on his children. As his main care giver, It would take a lot for me to have lit him i in n a a nursing home. Initially great at marketing their services. Delivery of the services was very poor. I was told they had 24 hr vigil at the end stages of life. When this was needed for my Mother I was told they didn't have the staff. Mom was told she could have an aide up to 4 hrs per day, massages, comfy wheel chair, hospital bed, music, pet therapy. The wheel chair came 2 days before she passed, music and volunteer came the day before Mom passed. The night mom passed I asked for their 24 hr vigil that I was promised.
