I recently had a fine-needle biopsy performed at St. Charles Hospital. Because a previous procedure at a different St. Charles location had been deeply unsettling, I arrived feeling exceptionally anxious. When I expressed my past experience and concerns to the intake team, I couldn't hold back my tears. The healthcare worker prepping the room was incredibly compassionate and passed my concerns along to the rest of the care team. Competent, caring people work here
St Charles in it's entirety is the worse health care system ever. They don't give a damn about nothing but the revenue they can bring in.
Best nurses I’ve ever been around. We were in 3 different units during our stay, and hands down the best care we’ve ever received from any hospital.
Absolutely abysmal ER. They'll run an EKG, see that it comes out "normal"...then sit you in a waiting room for 3 hours only to discover you're having a heart attack when the troponins come back. Kidneys shutting down? They'll run the EKG, then make you sit in the waiting room for hours (without a fluid drip) until you pass out. Who else subcontracts out their ER to a horribly managed PRIVATE COMPANY, St Charles? You make your namesake weep. You NEED to do BETTER. AVOID AT ALL COST
