Pros: -If this was just a review for nurse Shelby, it would get 5 stars (or more if I could) she is absolutely amazing! Some people just have a gift and are truly meant for this job and that is her 1000% so so kind, gentle, caring, goes above and beyond, I cannot say enough good things about her! -For the most part, all of the nurses and midwives were pretty good. A few of them should definitely let the lactation ladies do their job instead of aggressively grabbing and smashing your boobs! -The lactation nurses are amazing, ... read more
We’re originally from madras but my doctor recommended I give birth at this bend location specifically because they had a better anesthesiologist team and I wish I didn’t. The anesthesiologist team that i worked with to make my spinal block plan during pregnancy ended up not being able to find my plan the day of my c section and ignored all my wishes. Some nurses were amazing but other nurses were so incredibly rude and so controlling that it scared me at one point. I emailed my concern about this situation to the patient co... read more
Nurses are amazing. Midwife was amazing The person responsible for the logistics of the rooms: not so much. We requested a room in the 170’s which was denied because they’re doing some construction in that area and it’s a little further from an operating room, if there was an emergency. Wife is low risk, but whatever. Then at 6am after giving birth at 10pm with little naps overnight they switched us rooms to the 170’s. They said it’s for rooms for the day shift but we walked past 6 open rooms. Seems like they were flipping r... read more
The idea of giving birth in a hospital always terrified me but the girls at the birthing center made us feel at home. I was in active labor for 52 hours, 32 of those hours trying to give birth naturally but my water broke which made my birth plan non existent. The midwife and all the ladies reassured me that an induction was needed to speed up the process to get my baby out since I was so exhausted. I took the epidural even though it’s something I promised I would refuse but because the first 32 hours went so well I trusted ... read more
I had the most amazing birth experience at St Charles. I originally wanted a home birth to avoid ‘medical intervention’. But I would choose this birthing center over being at home again and again. I spent 4 nights here before my baby girl arrived and never thought I would feel so much love, compassion and care from strangers (every single nurse and midwife). They made my birth experience so special!! Thank you so much Kiley, Jess, Jessica, Devon, Jen, Becky, Nicole (and several others I’m unfortunately forgetting).
