They gave up on my child. He has special needs and a lot of meltdowns and workers kept changing. My son is autistic and it takes him time to get use to new people. 3 people he’s gone through and now I get notified by his worker they closed his case due to “lack of progress.” I was told I needed to reach out by July 2nd or his case will be closed in which I did. Parents are wise to take their children elsewhere. The staff are highly unqualified with high school graduates as teachers. Women dress beyond inappropriately, staff swearing around children is normal, and restraining children unnecessarily is completely accepted. The principal has absolutely no idea what he's doing and human resources is completely useless. Children deserve better and almost every caring and competent adult has left. I had a conversation with 2 former employees, recently. I was told that the Christmas request tree at Colonie Center is mostly filled out by current employees, for their personal use. I'm appaled and never going to fall for that request again.
