I like the work and the doctor did a great job.
I know everyone’s experience is different, but I’ve always had positive experiences with the staff at SBPH. During my most recent admission, everyone from nursing, to housekeeping were cordial,and attentive. But, I have to give a special shout out to the dietary department. I was a dietary manager at hospital and long-term care settings for 25+ years. I made it my mission to accommodate my patients in any way within my power. Quick top-notch care close to home.
They don’t even rate a 1 star. They stand around just talking. Hasn’t come in the room but 1 time to see how the patient is doing. Not to mention let’s not follow up to see where the results are. So we can be released. I would not recommend this hospital at all not any better since Ochsner took over.
Staff has been great, very helpful and courteous to my 80 year old father. My issue is that he needs to be admitted into ICU which they can't do because of a lack of staff (their words). Sitting in the ER and waiting for 7 hours is not appropriate for him or the other patients needing the ER. Update: it took 19 hours to get a bed in ICU, we we're in the ER the whole time.
