I just had a baby boy. We denied pku test 3 separate times and Dr's waited for me to step out to bombard my wife and they cohersed her into doing it for the 4th time. Also we did not want vitamin k shot, and they would not do circumcision without it. I feel like I went to a communist hospital and they would not do what we wanted with our child.
I delivered at joyful beginnings on 8/06/25 and I have to say with the experience I had I will forever and always be grateful for choosing st anthony’s to deliver at! I want to give shout outs to specifically nurse Sam who was absolutely amazing and knows exactly what she’s doing! Horrible experience. The anesthesia did not work during my C-section — I could actually feel the doctors opening my belly. It was traumatizing. Avoid this terrible place at all costs! I also agree with another review (from M K) I came across — they send a lot of students in for training, and it’s absolutely ridiculous. You’re basically used as a training subject, without proper consent or care. They treat you like a criminal instead of a patient, and on top of that, you still have to pay them for this awful experience.
I do not recommend this hospital to anyone! First off, I was almost admitted to the behavioral institution when I came in to check on my baby for a fall I had and having contractions. They gave me a muscle relaxer that I’ve never had before and it made me extremely loopy. A nurse and therapist had came in and asked me general questions and some of them were regarding my last pregnancy where I experienced post partum depression.
