If I could give the Saint Alphonsus ER in Eagle zero stars, I would. I went to this ER after being referred by urgent care with severe symptoms — extreme rectal pressure, inability to have a bowel movement, vomiting, fever, chills, and intense pain. I could barely move. Blood work was done, but I was discharged with nothing more than Zofran and no imaging, even though urgent care had sent me there specifically for further evaluation. I don’t usually leave negative reviews, but this is the second troubling experience my family has had with the same nurse at St. Alphonsus Hospital in Eagle, ID. We have twice been treated by a nurse named Alexis, over a year apart, and both experiences were deeply upsetting. I am naming this nurse because this behavior has occurred more than once and because she has been named in prior complaints. Dr.Sakk was very dismissive and would ask me questions then proceed to speak over me and not let me answer. Went in for bad “allergic” reactions I’ve been having for about a week and a half. She walked in barely looked at me, talked non-stop and said she’ll put in a prescription for steroids for my “sensitive” skin. I attempted to tell her that I don’t want that and my skin is not sensitive but again she spoke over me then left and immediately sent in someone for payment.
Dr. Wong was the best doctor I have ever dealt with. He explained all my scans and set me up with a plan to help me with my cancer. I never felt rushed. Normally you get 15 minutes but he gave me about 40 minutes. I was so appreciative.
