I had RNY 8 years ago and I am sure it saved my life. I believe I would not have survived this long if I had stayed on the destructive path I was on. I lost almost 200 pounds and have kept all but 25 pounds off the staff were great and supportive at every point especially at those times when the weight just wouldn't come off. The day I started my Journey with New Start was the beginning of a new life for me.
I have had several surgeries with New start starting with lab band in 2011 gall bladder out in 2014 and my bypass revision done in 2016. The staff has always been so nice and helpful when needed. The Dr's and staff have the knowledge to help us stay focused on our journey
It has been three years since my gastric sleeve and it was the best thing I ever did for my health. No more insulin and glyburide plus several other prescription medications discontinued. My A1c went from 8 to 5.8. My primary care physician considers my diabetes to be in remission. I no longer take even Prilosec because my GERD is gone. I had my RNY done by Dr Richardson in 2015 and have travelled back to the office every year for my check up because the staff is amazing! This was the best thing I could have ever done by using the doctors and staff of St. Alexius NewStart!
I have had an amazing experience at Newstart. Dr. Richardson did RNY June 2015. I have lost 120 pounds and kept it off. Just two months after my surgery, I moved out of state. The dietitians, nurse, and other staff stayed in contact with me and helped me via telephone and email. I still come and see them once a year and enjoy all the smiles and encouragement.
