Room 603 heating system does not work properly. My wife was moved to room 607. Heating system not much better. Each room appears to be different with heat control. A few of the nurses on 6 North lack compassion and empathy. One in particular who answered her call but was not her nurse could not answer any of my questions and acted like she could care less! this is the worst hospital!!!
RecommendedMy family and I have been going to SAMC since we moved to the area in the late eighties. This includes emergencies as well as out patient testing. We currently have our PC's and other doctors within the complex. My grandkids(3 of 4) were born in the new children's/women's center. Recently had some horrific abdominal pain and they wheeled me directly into the back of the ER. Within minutes. had pain meds and was going for scans. we went to the emergency room last night when my daughter cracked her head open we were in and out in an hour and a half I am beyond impressed with the pediatric ER they were efficient and extremely welcoming and helpful. I have never seen such a well-run ER.
ZERO stars My sister came in for severe abdominal pain. Literally passed out cold in front of triage staff. Nothing done. Passed out two more times in the waiting room, told nurse, nothing. Had to beg to get her on a cart while we waited in the waiting room: nobody ever checked on her, took vital signs for over 2 hours in the waiting room. beeen waiting in thr Emergency Room waiting area ALMOST 4 HOURS with mom in abdominal pain and bleeding!!! Took them two hours before they even took blood. they tried to do an UNNECESSARY FIRST XRAY TWICE!!
Zero compassionate. Lack of empathy. Negligent. Long story short - family member, late 30s, healthy, non smoker, zero medical history, NKA had neck surgery, 3days later in ICU on ventilator, during CPR nurses are giggling and making comments - nurse giving my loved one compressions and is told"wow you're getting your work out today" nurse laughed..IN FRONT OF DYING PATIENTS FAMILY! No don't ever go here, unless you want death...����
