This indeed one of the most poorly ran hospitals known to man. The staffing is inadequate and the hospital doesn’t care enough to fix it. The kitchen has a roast infestation that is being hidden which is unfortunate because the building itself where the food is being produced is fairly new. The kitchen is poorly trained and understaffed , so the majority of the patients receive that is too cold for consumption or majority of the time not even what they ordered. I recently had a loved one brought to this hospital E.R. by an out of town ambulance. They were left sitting in the waiting room area for almost 12 hours. They were treated like a 2nd class citizen. After 10 hours they were told there was no doctor available to treat them. When they asked for a blanket, they were told they couldn't have one because the staff "didn't know them". I guess DRUG ADDICTS AND SUCH are now the priority of S.L.U Hospital.

This is a very disorganized hospital. I've been in and out of hospital the past year because of cancer and then surgery to repair holes in my trachea and esophagus. I received cancer treatment at KU Med which was an excellent hospital. I had my surgery at SLU because of recommendation. The surgeon was excellent but the environment is just terrible. Today, I've been sitting in the waiting room five hours past my appointment time for something as simple as a bronchoscopy. The rooms are awful too. Uncomfortable beds and recline... read more
