I had a 4 minute virtual visit with Dr. Pitta in August for a persistent cough. She basically said give it time, and did not prescribe any medications. I called her office in ADVANCE to understand the cost of the virtual visit, and was told $0, (and I have an email from them). However, she charged my insurance $450 for a 4 minute visit, of which i am responsible for $350. I had a very disappointing experience with this doctor. She was extremely rude and dismissive. She didn’t take the time to listen to my explanation or concerns, and instead tried to minimize the issue. Her response was simply that I should “talk to my family doctor about it, I left feeling disrespected, unheard, and without any proper guidance or care. This is not how a patient should be treated.
If I could give her fewer stars, I would. I have NEVER ever experienced a PCP who is so willingly ignorant in my life. On my first appointment, I went in to establish care, I was there for less than 20 min and yet I was charged $600. I called the office and asked why, they sent me to billing and I found out that she put me in there for 50 minutes. She also said that I came in because I had weakness on the right side of my body. I had a stroke in 2018 and I said that was part of my deficits. I wasn't having a problem with it.... read more
Dr. Pitta is an amazing doctor. She was extremely kind and attentive during my visit today, great humor and I felt like I was listened to. It was my first time back to the doctors office after a bit of a hiatus, and I felt like I was treated very well by her along with her staff - I can’t quite understand how her reviews aren’t 4-5 stars because I enjoyed her as a doctor, and as an individual.
Doctor Pitta is well dismissive... I'll begin this by stating I'm a triathlete who has never dealt with a tear before. Last month, I sought care for what I suspected was a calf tear. My symptoms included difficulties with calf raising and the inability to resume normal running after 3 months.
