I am in post op recovery (day 6) from a microdiscectomy performed by Dr. Mirkovic and team. I am pain free and healing nicely (I need to remind myself to take it easy!). The Dr. and his associates are truly professional but also human and supportive and caring. I am so glad I ended up with this doc!
My surgery had to be corrected by another surgeon at a different hospital. After my surgery I couldn't stand up straight no matter how much I tried. The surgery was was supposed to be 4 to 5 hours. Instead it took him 7 hours. He only did my lower spine. 2 rods 6 pins. And didn't even get it right. Don't use this surgeon.
My husband had a very delicate spine surgery with Dr. Mirkovic and we can't say enough about how good and skilled he is in his area. We live downtown Chicago but we are happy we came to Skokie for my husband to have this invasive surgery with him. He is not only one of the best for spine surgery but a very caring and compassionate doctor. All my respect to him and my fully recommendation.
Dr. Mirkovic did an absolutely wonderful job on my lower back. He performed a micro discectomy on my L5-S1. I had a herniated disc which was causing me EXTREME sciatic pain from my buttock down my leg to my toes. It was causing me to walk funny, since I couldn’t push with my right leg. I had surgical fusion neck surgery in spring 2016 after having had arm pain for several years. I haven't had any pain since the surgery thanks to this skilled doctor. Dr. Mirkovic explained my options and talked me through the procedure prior to my surgery.
