Spun Sugar rocks! Spun Sugar in Berekely is a great place to find baking and candy making supplies. Its small and compact, but packed with hard to find items. They don't waste there space selling the stuff you can easily pick up at the grocery store, like flour and regular sugar. The stuff is helpful and friendly and most of them are well informed or at least they tell you who and when to call back if they don't know the answer to something. RecommendedHad so much fun making Truffles today. Linda is a wonderful teacher, very skilled and clear in her instruction. My husband and I had a lot of fun, and learned loads. The other students were friendly and supportive too. Absolutely will go back for more classes.
I have taken a cake and a pie class at Spun Sugar and I have never seen or tasted, let alone ever made anything as gorgeous and visually pleasing and delicious as the cakes and pies I made in my classes. And the process of the way we made these delectables showed me the unparalled talent and brilliance of our teacher, the owner. But you can see for yourself in the tasty treats for purchase and the blue ribbons in the front counter. And you take home everything you make! Thank you Spun Sugar and Happy Thanksgiving!
