Update: a perfect example; they comment on this review, email me with their direct line, and then never pick up the phone or email back. They’ll also randomly have people climb up your balcony with no notice! I’ve lived here for 3 years. This place doesn’t have enough staff, nor does McKinley seem to care to improve conditions. My daughter has lived here 2+ years, ignored all the warnings from friends and coworkers about McKinley and learned quickly they’re slumlords with a good landscaper. Earwigs and carpenter wasp invade over the summer making patios/balcony’s unusable. The pool is constantly closed, opened for two weeks in August last year, and it’s still not open in June 2026. Been here for 2.5 years. Always a struggle to get things repaired. In February the bath tub coating started to peel off. Alerted management, told it would be repaired in March, it is now June. Also the gutter over the entry leaks, all winter long the landing ices over. After complaining they come an put salt on it. It is now almost June. The gutter has not been repaired. I’ve lived here for 3 years. This place doesn’t have enough staff, nor does McKinley seem to care to improve conditions. In my years here, the pool has never opened on time. It closes sporadically and without communication until you get kicked out. If you need maintenance, they won’t come. I’ve had black mold, broken air conditioners, heaters break, and a broken buzzer. Each time has been an absolute headache to try and resolve. You cannot get ahold of anyone. With that said, the staff are very nice but clearly understaffed.
I’ve enjoyed living here but something is seriously going wrong recently. I’ve had maintenance issues completely ignored for weeks and more. My garbage disposal needed replaced in the beginning of my lease and practically every month someone needs to do something to it. I’d like to think they’re being thorough but the constant upkeep is quite frustrating.
