My family of 6 had a great stay, the girls at the front desk and staff are friendly. The hotel rooms were clean and it smelled right. The breakfast was good and we did have a small inconvenience where our door wouldnt open but they had the maintenance guy come up before I even made it up. The pool was a bit too cold for my kids but it is an indoor pool and the jacuzzi makes up for it. Target is right across the street.
Facilities and rooms were clean and well stocked. No complaints there. Staff was professional, friendly and helpful. We loved our overnight stay here the night before a cruise. I only deducted 1 star on the location. It is just after you arrive on Galveston island. Traffic in the morning can be a bit to get through and for the most part it is a bit away from cruise terminals or many things you might want to do on the Island.

Being a Marriott property I expected cleaner and better kept rooms. My room desperately needed renovation and furniture placement changes . The air exchanger right next to bed humming the night away , dirty furniture, chip paint , dings in walls , cracks in sink basin to name a few . The staff is great rooms need some TLC.
