It is unacceptable for Marriott to allow such misleading and harmful practices at one of their properties. I booked a room at SpringHill Suites by Marriott San Diego Rancho Bernardo through HotelTonight for $264 on August 30. Upon arrival around 10 PM, the hotel informed us in person at the front desk that our reserved room was unavailable due to a water leakage.The front desk staff explicitly guaranteed a full refund at that time. This hotel was the worst experience. We had a reservation, but due to overbooking we couldn’t stay there that night. They referred us to the hotel next door, but it was a much cheaper place and very disappointing, so we decided to leave. The staff was not helpful at all and their attitude made us feel upset. While we were making our complaint, we also heard other guests saying the staff’s service was terrible. I will never stay at this hotel again, and I absolutely do not recommend it.
Very standard chain hotel. Rooms were fine, but if you get one facing the highway, they’re noisy. There’s a few restaurants and a gas station close by, which is convenient. Service is competent. The included breakfast is nothing special. Overall average.
Close to restaurants, nice staff, clean rooms. Usually pretty busy so can be loud at times, especially if your room is by the pool, but I would recommend.
