Room was great especially for the price! Breakfast not the best but its free so can't complain . HOWEVER, I made a reservation online paid online got to the hotel and the receptionist charged me for the room again plus accidentals. I told her and she said its in a pending status you'll be fine . No thats $500 on hold from my bank for who knows how long because of your mistake when it should have been $200 . If she didn't refund it in the system a dispute will be made .
As a chain, I really love a lot of Springhill Suites but at this particular location there were a lot of negatives I noticed. In our room, the lampshade was broken, seams on the wallpaper were peeling in various locations, and the ceiling on the bathroom showed damage. The microwave was also very outdated and did not seem to work well. I was not expecting a super luxury experience, but it was inconsistent with my stays at other SpringHill suites hotels. The room we stayed in was janky, there was some light damage, and just felt dirty overall. We stayed Christmas so the breakfast was at the adjoining hotel and it was out of varioys foods that werent getting refilled, and small space for the amount guests trying to get food. The parking and entry markings from the garage were less than helpful for your first visit. The positives were security due to needing a room key for elevators, and the beds were really nice.
The entrance to this hotel is not on the main street, it's in an alley. This hotel has no views! Parking is $35. The rooms are very nice. The breakfast was good and the hotel does have an happy hour from 5pm-10pm.
