Valerie was and excellent server and was working quite hard for the breakfast.
I stay out of town frequently, due to the nature of my job. When I am in Greenville, SC, one of factors that weigh heavily on where I decide to stay while in the area for typically 2-3 nights, is the breakfast. I’ve stayed at a handful of Sprighill Suites, but all of the other Springhills (at least the ones located in SC) need to make a case study of this particular Springhill in downtown Greenville (which is also a Residence Inn, so I believe this applies for them as well). The hotel was beautiful, the location was great and there was lots of things to do within walking distance. Staff was very friendly, great service.
Management was not good. Did not honor gold elite member status when late check out was requested using the excuse that 200 rooms were checking out. We stay at Marriott hotels 2-3 weekends a month due to youth sports all over the country, never is there an issues with late check out. The request was for 1pm not even an excessive request. I even explained to the manager that all we wanted was for my child to shower after playing soccer in the hot sun for nearly 3 hrs especially given that our flight was leaving at 6pm. Very unique property. SpringHill Suite and Residential Inn in same building. One side is Suites with living room and the other with full kitchen. Suites have separate living/sitting area but only ONE tv. Small pool. No spa. Plenty of meeting rooms. GREAT GYM. Nice outdoor patio with firepit. Hot breakfast buffet.
