Great basic hotel and centrally located in Baton Rouge. Staff is always friendly and rooms AND common areas are always. Breakfast has good amount of food but isn't very good, just typical for this level of hotel.
My husband and I visit this hotel at least twice a year, and we are consistently impressed by the staff and the cleanliness. It's reassuring to see familiar faces, which speaks volumes about the management and the employees' job satisfaction. During our last 10-day stay, several staff members made our experience exceptional. It was only fine. The rooms were clean, but the service was lacking. For example, our reservation was for 5 people and staff only gave us 3 towels every time they cleaned. It is not that big of a deal, but staff looked like I was a huge imposition when I asked for more. Another example, breakfast starts at 6:30am but we had to leave very early for a baseball tournament. My son, in full baseball uniform, asked if it would be ok to take a yogurt from the buffet refrigerator and was told "no, breakfast is in 10 minutes." It was... read more
