Update: Tuesday evening after I wrote this review, I also sent an email with more details & photos. The property manager replied the very next morning and had forwarded my email to the persons who have the authority to contact the snow removal contractor. That same afternoon, the plows were out in force clearing snow throughout the property. They returned Thursday and did even more snow removal. Springford has become more and more difficult to work with since I first moved in 3 years ago. Recently with the snow we received they haven’t taken care of the parking lots, my until has small children and a pregnant woman with a toddler and they make it impossible to park. We called in a day after asking them to redo the parking lot and it looks the same. They haven’t even cleared out the spot infront of the fire hydrant. You’ll see a recent review from Alex K below, the response they gave is verifiably lying. I’ve attached a screenshot of the email their CFO sent me last, this was the response given after asking for details on the charges. Not only is DeSouza Brown a horrible landlord, they are also liars. There are plenty of other communities in this area for the same price with much higher quality living conditions.
Office Staff and Maintenance are great. That's where the good ends. The community is dilapidated and some buildings should probably be condemned/evaluated structurally. You can see the foundation cracking around some of the entry ways of the buildings. The corporate entity that owns this property is the stereotypical "evil" landlord you hear about. I stayed in this apartment for almost 7 years and absolutely loved it. The community is friendly, the staff is helpful, and the location is great. I will truly miss living here!
