I really like this gym - I would say the cons are as follows: the free weights (outside of the yard) need to be expanded to include a few more varieties like 7.5 + 12 lbs dumbbells some equipment could be added to enhance experience (standing calf raise for example) the bathrooms/showers are very dingy - I wish these facilities were a little nicer given the price I wish they could get rid of the ticket booths near parking to widen up the lanes for traffic pros though: has everything you could want or dream of in terms of cou... read more

Very scary...I was still in the sauna when they closed. All the lights were off and no one in sight. Serious safety hazard. Aren't they're supposed to do a sweep throughout the facility before leaving. Wasn't sure the hours and had no indication of closing.

I joined the Y when it was the health plex. The Y took over adding all new equipment and lowered the monthly fee. The staff is great! This place has become my second home. It's a great place to join, plenty of activities, especially basketball leagues that I play in. I love the Springfield Y!

Gym is constantly closed due to pipes bursting and something is almost always broken kind of hard to imagine that they even charge people for a membership when nothing is ever available to use man!
