I know next to nothing about music, I tend to be an Allen Jackson, Merle Haggard fan, but I've always heard and listened to some classical. My daughter and I got the opportunity to go to the orchestra for their 90th "birthday" concert. When I've heard classical before, it's wonderful, but I hear people talk about hearing specific things or pieces and I never hear it. Thanks so much for your community concerts.
Every year, the symphony puts on a free concert at Christmas for the public, and it was amazing. I highly recommend people attending next year. There were plenty of seats left, great music for children and adults alike. In the evening there was a paid concert. That was even better, with a superior soloist. She was flawless. All in all, a one hundred percent perfect evening.
We just enjoyed the free Christmas matinee. We feel so incredibly grateful to all the musicians that showed up and shared their skills so that our family could enjoy experiencing a symphony! It was incredibly touching, beautiful, and fun with the audience participation. Please never stop doing these concerts! They mean so much to the families of Springfield!
