My child was in the e.r. at Pekin hospital for almost 3 days. We did not see an actual Dr. until just before my child left the hospital. Most of the nurses were amazing and very helpful. 1 nurse lied to me though. She threatened that my child would be sent to foster care if I refused services. I later found out that this was not true but what choice did I have at the moment? Unless you are literally going to die, I advise you to drive to Peoria.
This place is a joke and I wouldn't take my animals here for treatment... I'm tired of just incompetent people working here anytime I come in. I've been here in the past because I couldn't breathe and was having issues. Anyways the nurse looks me in the eye and tell me we can do a blood test but it would be a waste of time.... That blood test was exactly what I needed! Finally after about 4 days of struggling I ended up in Peoria hospital in the ICU due to their incompetence and laziness... Front desk lady was so disrespectful from the time we walked in to the time we left, consistently laughing in our faces and not taking us seriously. It’s the same woman everytime and she’s very unprofessional. awful experience
Very rude Doctors and staff here do not recommend I wouldn’t be on seizure meds if I didn’t have seizures had seizures since I was born this new foreign doctor that works here don’t know how to do her job and is extremely rude and unprofessional and had security come in here for no reason and I have mental health issues and made my anxiety raise up by yelling at me when I have disabilities and don’t understand certain things like everyone else came in here with badly severe left side pain and they didn’t care but let me suff... read more
Pekin hospital staff were the rudest staff. They will not offer family members staying w patient even drinks when I asked for a sprite they copped an attitude and slammed it on the table for me and then came back with security who yelled at me and 4 staff members making me feel completely threatened. I have a mental illness and this only triggered a panic attack making me use more anxiety pills. So I made my husband ama himself out right after this. I would never recommend Pekin hospital for any of your loved ones!
