The anesthesiologist messed up and didn’t give me enough anesthesia, I woke up in the middle and felt them scraping my eye. I couldn’t speak so I turned my head. Afterwards, I was barely in recovery not coherent at all and the nurse was going over my discharge information. I remembered none of it and I asked to repeat it because I had no idea what she said. I had cataract surgery Monday, 7-24-2023. The entire staff, from the front desk, the "prep nurse" to the '"out door" was FANTASIC! ALL the staff took great care of me. My only complaint; no vodka for my post procedure drink ;^) ;^) I'll be returning Monday, 7-31-2023 for my 2nd cataract surgery, and can hardly wait! My experience here ranks with my surgeries at IOH and West 86th St Vincent Hospital, which means FANTASTIC!!!
$9000 for just the facility fee - for a 20 minute procedure - upper endoscope. I was called the day before procedure to tell me time and place. In hindsight I should have compared prices at surgery centers and canceled but not a lot of time to do that when told less than 24 hours before procedure.
I had a colonoscopy here and the staff was very attentive, professional and just fun!!
