Do not send your loved ones here. My mother stayed here for several months. When she was released, she could no longer walk, she lost a lot of weight, had a huge bed sore, and had tremors. We were not notified about any of these conditions during her stay. They will leave patients in a wheelchair in the hallways for hours without proper care. Avoid at all costs.
RecommendedThe place is very clean and smells good all the time. The staff is very NICE and they keep me in the loop. PT is great. Receptionist very pleasant. The only negative is that they seem short staffed all the time. It takes me about an average of 8 minutes just to speak to someone. Even the hospital doctor told me it’s impossible for him to reach anyone cause nobody is answering the phone so he had to call a different floor to have them get someone on the line. Today I’ve been trying for over 4 hours just to talk to my mom.
My grandma 👵🏻 lived at Sprain Brook Manor and the staff for the most part was very nice to her. They all knew her by name. It could use some updating and a few more recreational activities other than bingo or music listening because sometimes it was a bit boring but other than that for a place close to home for my grandma with Dementia who went there first for rehab then stayed full time for 1 year till she died April 20 , 2020 , this place was nice. I liked the holiday events.
This is why I don’t recommend this nursing home , this was on the floor in my fathers room after they changed his ROOMATE!!! Horrible and disgusting ! Can’t wait for him to get out of this place
My dad was well taken care of 17 years ago and my girlfriends mom is in there now and she’s doing very well
This place is a shithole.
The rehab only patients get a first hand experience while here of why no one should ever live in a nursing home, like this one. Bingo is the extent of activities, and the TV in the second floor day room has no picture that can be seen.. After lunch until supper patients sit in wheelchairs around the perimeter of the day room and waste their lives staring at the four walls, while aides gather and talk in loud tones, together. My Dad just passed away after a year at Sprain. Couldn't ask for a better place or better staff to take care of him. Thank you to everyone who helped in making his last days so peaceful. May God Bless you all.
