RecommendedI had knee surgery today performed by Dr. Layton. It was my second knee surgery with him-different knee this time-and my experience both times was superb. Dr. Layton isn’t a big talker, but he is caring, compassionate, and an excellent surgeon. His staff is also wonderful, particularly Jeremy and Cassie. RecommendedDr. Janssen and his team are amazing. Dr. Janssen has the best bed side manner. He will sit and talk to you and listen to what you are telling him. The physical therapy team are a great group of people. They all are very knowledgeable and helpful.
RecommendedBetween the many orthopedic surgeons ive I’ve seen at Sportsmed and the many ive I’ve seen at the “other” major hospital system of the north Alabama & southern middle Tennessee area, I rate Sportsmed 5 stars and the “other” hospital system orthopedic department just 2.5 stars. RecommendedHad been dealing with knee pain for many yrs. it finally progressed to bone in bone. But was with another group, they kept adding more and more things to do before the actual knee replacement. Was referred to Dr Janssen and he found I was a candidate for surgery. It has been the best experience, I’ve had no significant pain since prior to the surgery. Had the surgery three months ago in May 2020 and now I’m back to playing tennis ( lightly).
