Went to purchase Sitka gear this evening and saw they had a separate rack of items on Sale. Big sign on the rack saying 25% off select Sitka items. Everything on the sale rack was similarly marked. Got treated like I was a thief when I was trying things on and then when I went to buy a couple items they didn't ring up on sale. I found it weird the employees wouldn’t let me in the dressing room to try on some Sitka pants. Their loss on letting me walk out from spending a few hundred dollars. Next time I’ll just change in the middle of the store
Three times I’ve pulled items that say they are on clearance and get to the register and they are not. Every time I’m told someone put them in the wrong spot. Today I grab a Sitka belt off the rack in the middle of the aisle that says “everything on this rack 60% off” get to the register and someone put it in the wrong spot again. So I left again spending $0. I can’t wait for bass pro to take over and make this even worse!!!
I came in last night to purchase a muzzle loader. I asked the kid at the gun counter if they had the specific model I was looking for and had looked at in this location previously if he had one. His reply "nope". Not let me check the back, not we don't carry that particular one anymore, not even we're out right now, let me check when, and if we are getting more in. This isn't the first time this store has made either myself or one of my friends feel this way. I think I'll just have to start going to other retailers.
I am using my wife’s FB since I don’t have it, but I wanted to give a shout out to the fishing manager Steve Houser. I haven’t been to this shop for a while because they never have the stuff I need, shelves were always empty. But last night I went in and there was new life in there. The shelves were stocked and the items were pulled forward so you could see the selection. Thank you Steve for resurrecting this department and making it worth coming in again. $6 for shipping costs for "ship to store" for an online order? No thanks. I really want to support my local Sporty's, but there's not much reason to.
Bought my first bow from you guys several years ago there in Riverdale & it has been one of my favorite hobbies ever since! Thank you for your great customer service and for letting me test out many options before I bought! Your help and advice was greatly appreciated! Great store, great staff, great experience!
