Exceptional food and service. The perfect place for that special occasion.
We stopped at the restaurant about 6 pm. They said we had to make a reservation, so we said okay. We made a reservation for 7:45 pm. We showed up at 7:35 pm and was told it would be close to our time before table was ready . Okay. Then told our table was being cleared. It would be just a few minutes. THEN this WAITRESS told us..that was a table for 5..it would be a while longer. We said NO THANKS. .WE ARE LEAVING. At least she had enough nerves to wish us a" good weekend "!
Amazing dinner! Food was excellent and the chef and waiters made the night!
This is my favorite restaurant anywhere--and I live a short drive from both Austin and San Antonio, where there are many good places to eat.The nut-crusted fish is better than any other fish I've tasted. Same for their crab cakes. The vegetables are fresh, fresh, fresh. My family has a beach house at Matagorda, but I think we go there as much for Spoonbills as for the beach!
Andie and I have experienced everything on the menu. All that I've sent claim the same. It's over the top and always fresh not frozen. Edie and her staff always make us feel more than welcome. She will prepare your fresh cleaned catch if that's what you want. The stuffed crab and shrimp enchiladas are fantastic. Great selection of wine too!
Best food in the county.
