Dr Sponenberg recently retired and our family misses him. We will never find another doctor like him. He was the most knowledgeable, caring doctor i have ever known. he always put his patients first and treated everyone like family!
Dr Sponenberg’s years of experience have served our family very well. How thankful we are for his knowledge and expertise.
We have been blessed to have Dr. Sponenberg, for our 2 granddaughters. Each has a medical issue, that he has monitored. He is kind, caring and very knowledgeable. Explains the treatment, so I can understand what is needed. My girls are comfortable with him and like him! He talks to them, not at them!
Sponenberg greatly needs an acute psychological review in order to continue medical practice. Extremely knowledgeable as he is, his mind simply does not process observations correctly as it did in his younger days. Allowing him to continue medical practice is simply endangering the well being of family and child.
Takes time to listen and answer questions.
Two of my children see Dr. Sponenberg. He is very knowledgable and caring and is the only doctor I've ever had who called me personally to discuss lab results even when they were completely normal. His nurse is also wonderful. I highly recommend this physician.
He made our baby drink 6 ounces since birth and he was a big baby to start with. His reasoning was to get him to poop more since he had jaundice, which is fine, but never told us to stop and at that point our son just got used to drinking that much. He then called my baby morbidly obese at 6 weeks and when my friend mentioned his length (he was very long) he admitted he hadn't even looked at his chart. After that, his weight was no longer an issue. He's rude, bad at communication, and insulting.
He knows his stuff. Caught a kidney issue early in our daughter and we were able to get it fixed before there was any permanent damage. Friendly staff. Just great all around.
