Spoke & Weal on California Avenue is a stylish and welcoming salon. The space is clean, modern, and thoughtfully designed, and the staff are friendly and professional. The location is also convenient and surrounded by several good cafés and restaurants. A great addition to the California Avenue neighborhood.
I’ve been going to the Palo Alto location for about a year, and I’ve had my hair done by Gianna, Abigail, and Vanessa. Every one of them is incredibly talented, attentive, and communicative. They always take the time to understand what I want, and I’ve honestly never loved my hair this much before. The salon itself has such a welcoming and relaxing atmosphere, which makes every visit enjoyable. Thank you all for consistently doing such an amazing job! Without a doubt, this is the best salon in the Bay Area.

Spoke & Weal is hands-down my favorite salon in California. Kaycee, Abigail, Mindy, and Jade are all incredibly talented artists with exceptional dedication and care...you really can’t go wrong with any of them. I am thrilled with my gorgeous cut and color!
Mindy did an excellent haircut for me! She was very detail oriented and a perfectionist. Cheerful and checking in with me throughout the process. I would highly recommend her services for anybody looking for a hair makeover.
