I was a little leery going to my appointment with Dr. Spohr because of the low ratings on here. Don't listen to them!! This man had great bedside manner, explained everything well, he was gentle and as quick as he could be. He was extremely nice and made it a good experience.
Advanced Dermatology: Did not precertify my cancer surgery as I requested. But they told me they did. Insisted that I sit in their office for 2 hours waiting to find out if they got all the cancer , instead of letting me go home (I live 3 minutes away) Did not give me the antibiotic script the was mentioned in the paperwork to take home When contacted the NEXT day about the script, they Did not ask me what pharmacy I used, instead sent it to a pharmacy I do not have an account with. Awful. Extreme surgery, in his office, and felt like I was keeping him from the clubs. Had to go to a “real dermatologist” for another surgery to correct his garbage. DO NOT USE HIM!
I came in for a mole check. It was basal cell carcinoma! Dr. Sporh & his assistant explained each stage of the procedure to me. This helped to lower my high level of anxiety. Each time I had to wait and see if all the CA was removed was very nerve-racking! After 4 attempts, all evidence was gone. After 28 small stitches later, I went home. Now I have a beautifully minimal scar. AWESOME! I am very grateful to Dr. Spohr for his professional skill, knowledge, competence, and compassion towards me.
I told him I thought I had ringworm, he looked at the rash and prescribed medication, kind of brushed off further questions I had. I made a second appt about a month later and then a test was done and a month after that I got the test results, which showed it was not ringworm, and a bill for the test after spending more than the cost of the test on medication for something I didn't have. The test should have been offered at the 1st visit.
