I took my Super Beetle in for service because the rear door latch needed adjustment to allow proper closing and prevent unwanted opening. The gas filler door also needed adjustment because it would not open when the electric release was operated. When I arrived they told me there would a $184 diagnostic fee for each of these problems. I questioned their sincerity with this charge, but they stood firm. I left without having any service done.
