Dr. Spirt has been my psychiatrist for almost 2 decades. In my opinion, regarding medication, she is top of the line and I was lucky to have found her. Dr. Spirt is consciously responsible and very knowledgeable about medications for mental health disorders, where I feel most doctors would miss symptoms or dismiss things too easily. I have been a patient of Dr. Spirt since the 90's. She is not only very knowledgeable but also very thoughtful and caring. Dr. Spirt has helped me through significant life challenges and I can honestly say that but for my weekly sessions with Dr. Spirt during certain times in my life, I would not have achieved my personal and career goals. I worked in this practice for two months. This doctor violates so many HIPAA clauses. She shares private information about her patient's, some are high profile, with office assistants and other provides without the patient's authorization. She text messages patients' progress notes via iMessage to her assistants. She uses standard gmail to exchange patients private forms that contains sensitive medical information. It was a while ago now but as I still today think about what a stinking experience I had with this woman, I thought it's time to post something. I visited her in the hope to get some guidance on a difficult and painful situation I was working through. Her bedside manner was rough from the start. Cold and irritable.
