I can share my experience as a former (disabled) employee at SCI. I was "laid off" over the phone on a day I was unable to work due to my disability. I was told not to come into the office, ever again. This sounded suspicious to me, and I found out through an in-office email since I had made a few friends at the office, that my position had in fact, not been eliminated- My role had been reformatted. Have been desperately trying to sign up for services since the fall. Paperwork getting lost, being told incorrect dates, not being contacted, information sent to wrong email addresses, not being left callback numbers. Since i have been trying with SCI ontario my life has been more stressful and they have forced me to give up on ever being employed as a severely disabled electric wheelchair user with a spinal cord injury I am devastated
