Love the view from here. I haven't been here in years. They made some major improvements to this place. Very nice.
As close to a waterfall as you’ll get in these parts - at least after a good rain. Did you know that the lake was a reservoir at one time? That it had a Sandy beach 100 years ago? That German POW’s were kept in a camp not far from the arboretum during World War II? And that afterwards that camp was used as a dorm by SMU?
After a beautiful day of hard rain, I had to go see this place! Wish I could have stayed all day. Porta-Pottys are available in the parking areas. Watch out for bikers and enjoy the scenery.
