There are so many wonderful things about Spicewood Springs Cat Hospital, but if you're reading reviews and still on the fence I'll make it simple for you: 1. The staff is top notch. EVERYONE I've encountered there in the 3 years I've been going: from the front desk to technicians to vets is passionate about the work they do. Reminds me of that feeling you get meeting an elementary school teacher and within five minutes thinking to yourself, "Oh. This is clearly A CALLING," because they're so dedicated. Same vibes here. I love this vet! I had a kitten who had a lot of medical problems. Drs. Study and Tran were a huge help in coming up with a care plan and medications. They have even called me during breaks to make sure I had all the information I needed. Receptions and techs have all been wonderful as well. I have recommended this place to other cat owners.
Even though I did not have an appointment, they took my cat in for a checkup since he was having digestive issues. They were very kind, attentive, and understanding.
It was 30+ min after my scheduled appointment time before the vet finally came in on a not busy mid afternoon visit. This is a huge waste of my time, and unnecessarily stressed out my cat for so long who unhappily huddled in her carrier in the exam room. The vet was super quick and left before asking if I had any questions, explaining any side effects, or expected recovery times.
