Last year I went to Spice Market New York in the Meatpacking. I told them I was allergic to shellfish. We ordered from the menu something that was just labeled as being vegetables. The waitress, who I told I was allergic, took the order. I thought I was safe. Suddenly my throat started to close up. I grabbed someone and asked what was in it and they said shrimp and lobster. A must try when visiting NYC, the food was incredible, the service was stupendous and the atmosphere was very zen like.
I had the samosa as appetizer and i extracted a long strand of hair while chewing it. I brought it up to the attention of the mait'rd who told me in front of my guests that "it was impossible" I have had business dinners with clients in high end restaurants and when asked how my food was, i would give it praise if deserving , or not , but never challenged" it was impossible" as if i made it up !
