There are already too many Indian restaurants in the area.. this place is guaranteed to fail. Food and service are poor.

My husband and I live around the corner and have been waiting for a great restaurant to move into this space. I think our wait is over! we have come a couple if times to the lounge to grab a beverage and quick bite and the food has been terrific! We especially enjoyed the lamb sliders, gobi, and boneless chicken off the modified lounge menu + Katie is the BEST (excellent service and drinks!). We also picked up terrific masala from the take out menu. looking forward to coming regularly!
We held our daughters rice ceremony reception party here..probably the first event to be held at the venue..very nice experience..staff was very supportive..all my guests appreciated and enjoyed the food...overall very satisfying and memorable event for us ..memory to be cherished for a liftime..Finally Mr praveen did an awesome job to get everything organized for the first event in the party hall..Kudos to him !!!! N.B.: Hall is really spacious and well decorated

Very impressed with the quality of the food, great selections for a buffet. Courteous staff. Have been craving good Indian food. Hope this restaurant can be successful at this location. We'll be back!
I visited Urban Spice on its opening day on Wednesday 07/25/2018. It was wonderfully decorated. Food made by this group (Same folks that own Biryani Bowl) has always been my favorite. I liked how spacious it is. I think it can hold up to 300 people for banquets! Loved the cocktails made by the bartender! All in all, a high five to a gem of a place tucked away in the middle of Newark!
