Very poor customer service and professionalism. – We (about 5 people group) used to visit this restaurant often during lunch hours but since management changed from early 2008, the quality is no more. Food is okay, not bad. Taste varies for regular daily dishes, no consistency. Hall area (Function room) is spacious but Air Condition does not work and management said it is "centrally controlled" and they have "no control" switching it on. Best Indian so-far – My wife and I love this place. We've gone for dinners and the weekend buffet. I agree with an earlier reviewer that the quality at the buffet is not as good. Nice place to eat My husband and I like Indian food and we found this restaurant to be a nice place for a weeknight or weekend dinner. The service was adequate and the food was good. I think the problem with this restaurant is the the Bombay Grille is down the street and that place is wonderful. If Bombay Grille is too crowded you can go down the street to the Spice and Curry and get a curry that is almost just as good.
Great for dinner, so-so lunch buffet – I've had dinner here a few times ordering off the menu and every time has been excellent! Probably some of the best Indian around (many of my Indian friends agree). I was however disappointed with the weekday lunch buffet. It just wasn't the same flavors or quality that I was used to from the dinner menu. BEST OF THE ALL INDIAN RESTAURANTS IN SOUTH – Spice and Curry, as promised, is "sublime and beautiful." When I want a decadent Navaratana Kurma simmered in heavy cream and even heavier spices, I'd be amiss to look anywhere else. There are at least 5 Indian places that are closer to my house than Spice and Curry, but the trek is completely worth it. Better than Sitar – If you like middle-of-the road Indian that caters to the not-too-daring crowd, Sitar is your place. Spice and Curry typically has more adventurous dishes on their menu and the quality is better, in my opinion. Weekdays cater a little bit more to the RTP crowd, but the offerings on the weekends bring out the Indian ex-pats who know what good Indian food really is. My friends and I always argue about which is better - Sitar or Spice and Curry so you can't go wrong with either, but my money's on S & C.
Worst Indian food in the Triangle. – In an area with such a large Indian community, plus a plethora of Indian restaurants within a few miles of each other, this restaurant has to be the worst Indian food I have ever eaten in my life (and I've been around the block a few times with Indian food). My meal was soupy (when it should never have been) - it seemed like they had leftovers from the buffet, watered it down, and added some green peppers for extra spice.
