Fast food prices but real food. No frills, but it is clean and well lit inside, with an atmosphere in a South of The Border motif. Good spot to catch a quick lunch or breakfast before starting the day. Calling in an order for pick up ahead of time is a good idea for busy times. Carne Asada Burritos are huge and done in the dry "San Diego" style, although I wished they offered red sauce for a "wet burrito" style option, and the burrito shell was slightly overcooked. Great lil place to get some good food and great prices. I recommend that you order ahead so it will be ready when you go and pick up as there are not too many tables to sit at, but there are some outside too. Friendly staff. I’m hooked on the chili rellanos…I was surprised that the tamale was super moist and the ratio of chicken to masa was great. … now I won’t know what to have next time… chili rellano or tamale.
We overestimated how fast our food would be ready. My partner and I were on a time crunch and I think it took about 15mins to get our food - still, decently fast - we made it work though. I must say, the food was phenomenal! I got the Al Pastor burritos and it was HUGE (wasn’t even very hungry for dinner that night bc I was still satisfied w my lunch)! So fresh and hot off the pan; moist and very flavorful too! We plan to come back!
The prices on the menu are not accurate to what you are being charged. Ordered the regular California burrito. Menu price is listed as $11.75. The price I was charged before tax is $13.00. This is a poor business practice. The prices should be displayed accurately.
