I've taken two of my kids here for a few years, and both have had a lot of success. The staff is friendly and helpful, and my kids look forward to going. We've noticed a difference in their ability to form different sounds, and have gotten tips for how to continue to help them at home between sessions.
I experienced something very frightening. Over the past 4 years, I had trouble breathing 9 different times. A male ENT said it was “anxiety” because my only sibling became very ill, and then died 1 1/2 years ago. The ENT actually said that “worst case scenario I’d just black out!” As a woman, his response caused many feelings to surface. He was lacking in compassion certainly! Everyone here is wonderful! I have seen such a change in my son since starting here. He gets so excited when I tell him we're going to speech!
This place feels right. The one on one therapy with the same therapist is so much more beneficial than rotating therapist we've had in the past. This is what my son has to say about it. "It's always a pleasant experience when I come here, and there's never any tension during the meetings. The activities are always fun, and it's the right place for me."
My son started with Brittany around 20 months old. His lack of speech transpired into behavioral issues. Hitting, biting and tantrums when we were unable to understand him. Within six weeks of working with Brittany I saw immense improvements in his vocabulary, his mood, behavior and his personality. We still have work to do but I and my son look forward to working with Brittany every week.
