Very good and will use again! These guys are awesome! It just amazes me how someone can tell what on earth is going on with a computer when it??s all out of wack. I am not technical at all and I guess my computer came down with a pretty bad virus. They were able to get rid of the virus and clean my computer of any and all potential viruses??. I was so lost without my computer but you gotta love someone that helps you get back in touch with the world!

They rock So I just got back from there after reading great reviews, my laptop was damaged in a car crash and I wasn't sure where the damage was, the guy there inspected the whole thing, realized it was the port where the charger connects, then got my hard drive out and screwed it into a special box so i could connect it externally, all this took over half an hour and at the end, he charged me only $25-the cost of box! I was amazed...they are really terrific over there.

What a find! After encountering the "blue screen of death" on my Sony Vaio laptop, I needed to have my drives backed-up, and have the glitch fixed. I was prepared to take it to one of the "big guys", or send it to a Sony repair station. All meant big bucks. I was also looking for a new super fast desktop PC, and had searched the web and all the usual places, like Fry's, CompUSA, etc. Then my son mentioned a little computer shop, two blocks away; Spectrum Computer. To make a long story short, ...both problems solved, Spectrum... read more

Great Value! Spectrum Peripherals came to my rescue when my less than 1-year-old laptop died all of a sudden. I called the computer manufacturer (let's just say it is a prominent computer brand) and they wanted me to send it in to the factory be repaired for a $400 flat fee (not including shipping back and forth). I thought that was pretty darn outrageous, as I only paid a little more than $1000 for the laptop when I bought it new. So I did some research on the web and found this little gem of a repair/parts computer shop th... read more

non working computer A friend recommended Spectrum to me because I was having so many problem with my hard drive. So I took it in and they detected that the hard drive was corrupted. The best thing to do was to replace it which they did. They backed up everything on my old hard drive and was able to clone it so that I would lose anything on the new one. I was very please to know that I didn't lose anything and the technicians were very knowledgable. They have good rates and they guarantee their work. Really appreciated them.

Good old hole in the wall computer shop Frankly, if it wasn't for the fact that one of my friends bought a custom computer for me from there, I wouldn't haven't even known it was there, despite how many times I pass by the neighborhood there. Do not expect a Fry's Electronics as their selection is just average and their space itself is probably no bigger than a cluster of office size rooms. But despite this, if you want a good computer that could keep up with today's needs for the right price, the store has plenty of options... read more

Top notch repair. Spectrum Peripherals is a little computer shop that does repairs. They helped install another hard drive, and helped back up my laptop. The repair man was very nice and courtesy, and offered some suggestion to prevent future problems from arising. Although, not all the parts were available at that time, they offered competitive brick and mortar pricing.
